SNA cuts – Have you been affected?

By the end of 2011 the government will remove over 200 SNAs from schools around the country in order to meet targets within the National Recovery Plan.

Most special schools will keep their existing number of SNAs, but many mainstream schools will lose some of theirs.

The government believes that despite these cuts students will still have access to the SNA support that they need.

Hands On is planning to cover this very important topic in an upcoming programme and we would like to hear from anyone who has been affected by these cuts – whether you are a parent of a child who requires SNA support, a teacher, or an SNA – we would like to hear about your experience.

This is just for research purposes and you are under no obligation to appear on Hands On. All information will be treated confidentially.

Please email [email protected]. We really appreciate your help!

Thanks,
Fran
