CENTRAL EUROPEAN ALLIANCE OF THE DEAF (CEAD)
Five central European Deaf associations (Belgium, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Holland) signed an agreement in April of this year to form the Central European Alliance of the Deaf.

The co-operation uses ideas from the Scandinavian and European (EUD) alliance models and will strengthen co-operation between central European Deaf associations and EUD. It aims to co-ordinate to organise and develop workshop, congresses, culture festival, and other events. CEAD has five goals: Empowerment; Lifelong Learning; Education/PISA; Employment; and Deaf Culture.
