KODA SIGNING A SONG AT KINDERGARTEN CONCERT
As we are approaching Christmas, we had to share with you a clip of a young KODA (Kids of Deaf Adults) who surprised her Deaf parents by signing “Santa Was His Name O” & other songs at her Kindergarten concert.
The clip has been seen by over 8 million people and becomes very popular again at this time of the year. To view the clip, go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?

IRISH DEAF SOCIETY (IDS) NATIONAL COUNCIL MEETINGS
The National Council is an umbrella group, comprising of local Deaf
organisations that work together to determine the primary concerns and
priorities affecting the Deaf Community. This in turn leads to policy
development and lobbying for equality and rights of Deaf people.
Due to work commitments, we have been unable to attend NC meetings. We are
happy to give our position to one of the Deaf representative groups in Co.
Kerry such as the Kerry Deaf Group or the Kerry Deaf Women’s Group. If you
are a member of either group, you can contact our Manager or Eddie Redmond
in the IDS for more information on how to become a member of the NC.
The 1st meeting of 2016 will be on the 6th of February and this will be held
at Deaf Village Ireland. The time is yet to be confirmed. The 2nd meeting
of 2016 will be on the 3rd of September. The time and location will be
discussed at the February 2016 meeting.
For more information in sign language about membership (affiliation) of the
NC, go to https://www.irishdeafsociety.
EUDY- EUROPEAN UNION OF THE DEAF YOUTH

for better Deaf education in Europe. The EUDY is developing a survey and is
