Kerry Deaf Resource Centre Update 27.06.16

DEAF ADULT LITERACY SERVICE (DALS) CLASSES

Our Deaf Adult Literacy classes are now on summer break until September. We would like to thank the Deaf Adult Literacy Service (DALS) for supporting these classes in our Centre. We would also like to thank Christina O’Donoghue for teaching the classes for the past academic year. We look forward to working with her and her students again in September.

If you are Deaf and would like to avail of literacy & computer classes when they resume in September, please send us your details and we will forward them onto the DALS Co-ordinator & tutor.

BIG THANK YOU FOR OUR TRALEE STREET COLLECTION

We would like to extend a big thank you to all the volunteers who helped out and to those who donated to our collection on Friday, the 3rd of June in Tralee. All money raised is very much appreciated and goes towards the overhead costs here in our Centre in Tralee.

KILLARNEY STREET COLLECTION – REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS

Kerry Deaf Resource Centre is looking for volunteers to support us with our upcoming street collection on Friday, the 8th of July in Killarney town. If you are in the position to volunteer and would like to help, please contact Noreen Cronin or Therese Gallant in our office, by text to 087 633 4687 or via email: [email protected].

The income generated from these collections contributes to overhead costs of running our Drop-In-Centre in Tralee, and towards the costs of our outreach service for elderly clients with a hearing loss who also have mobility and travel difficulties. Help is always welcome.
