EQUALITY AUTHORITY STRATEGIC PLAN 2012-2014
The Equality Authority is preparing a new Strategic Plan for the period
2012-2014. A Strategic Plan Stakeholders Consultation session will be held
on Thursday 28th April.  The event will take place in the Coach House,
Dublin Castle, Dublin 2.   It will commence with registration, tea & coffee
at 11:00am and the consultation process will take place from 11:30am.   It
is expected that the meeting will conclude at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to brief you on the work the
Equality Authority is currently doing and outline the services and supports
they provide.  The Equality Authority wants to hear your views and ideas at
the meeting, which will assist them in planning their priorities over the
next three years.

Information packs and briefing material will be available on the day. For

UPDATE ON ETHIOPIA DEAF PROJECT.
As many of you know the Irish Ethiopia Deaf project secured land in Ambo in
Ethiopia recently. Last week, we were thrilled to hear its approx. the size
of a football field.

This is great news for us as it means there will be huge scope for further
development if we secure overseas development aid to build a Deaf Centre
there. Fr. Stephen Monaghan who is well known in the Deaf community here
flew out to Ethiopia last week and is going to visit further Deaf projects
out there. We look forward to getting further updates on his return along
with proposed plans for the Centre.

TAG RUGBY BLITZ FOR ETHIOPIA 14th of MAY
Fr. Monaghan is looking for people to get involved in Tag Rugby with
Castleknock College. The event is open to men and women. Stephen is keen for
a Deaf team to participate.

The tournament is in aid of Vincentian Lay Missionaries and their work in
Ethiopia. For more information, email [email protected] or check
