We would like to extend a big thank you to all the volunteers and to those who donated to our Street Collection in Castleisland on Friday 12th September. All money raised is very much appreciated and goes towards the overhead costs here in our Centre in Tralee.
INTERNATIONAL AWARENESS WEEK OF THE DEAF COFFEE MORNING
As part of the International Awareness Week of the Deaf, Kerry Deaf Women’s
Group are holding a coffee morning at Kirby’s Brogue Inn, Rock Street,
Tralee, at 11 am on Monday 22nd September. All men and hearing people are
very welcome to attend too.
Our best wishes to everyone involved in the International Awareness Week of
the Deaf across Ireland and to the group organising the Coffee Morning in
Tralee.
DEAF VICTIMS OF CRIME IN IRELAND
Are you a member of the Deaf community who has been a victim of crime? Did
you feel you were given access to the Gardaí and what were your experiences
in the courtroom? Dr. Gill Harold is conducting research into Deaf victims
of crime in Ireland. ISL will be provided and participants will be treated
in strictest confidence.

RETURN OF GYM SESSIONS AT IT TRALEE IN OCTOBER
Are you interested in improving your fitness? The Institute of Technology
Tralee is re-commencing their gym sessions at the North Campus this autumn.
Classes start on Tuesday 8th October and held from 10 am to 11 am. If you
are interested, please let us know here in the Centre on 087 6334687.
IRELAND & GB’s FOOTBALL TEAM PLAY FRIENDLY MATCH THIS NOVEMBER
An 11 a-side international friendly match between Ireland and GB’s men’s
football teams will be played on Saturday, 1st November 2014. The match was
suggested by a Team GB official who was interested in running a friendly
match for over 35s players.
Kickoff will be at 3pm at Deaf Village Ireland and a social event is planned
for the evening. More information will to follow on the social event.

IRISH WOMEN’S FUTSAL TEAM
The Irish Women’s Futsal Team are training hard for the 4th European Deaf
Futsal Championships this November and are seeking sponsorship to help raise
funds to cover the expenses of the trip.
