Our website is back up and running after a temporary issue.  Our website hosting company had a malware virus issue and had to close off the webpages temporarily.  We are examining all the pages to ensure there are no errors on them.  If you come across any, please let us know and we will do our best to rectify them ASAP.

THANK  YOU  FOR  TRALEE  STREET  COLLECTION
We would like to extend a big thank you to all the volunteers and to those
who donated to our Street Collection in Tralee last Friday 12th June.  All
money raised is very much appreciated and goes towards the overhead costs
here in our Centre in Tralee.

STREET  COLLECTION  IN  LISTOWEL –  CALL  FOR  VOLUNTEERS
We are looking for volunteers for our next Street Collection which will be
held on Friday, 26th June in Listowel.  If you are available to help collect
on the day for a couple of hours it would be greatly appreciated.  Would you

OIREACHTAS  LEADERS  QUESTIONS – SIGN  LANGUAGE  INTERPRETING  ACCESS

SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETING SERVICE- MANAGER VACANCY
The Board of the Sign Language Interpreting Service (SLIS) are looking to
recruit a Manager for the service.  This is a permanent, full-time position.

The Manager will work with the Board and staff of SLIS to manage and develop
the service.  Prior experience of managing and developing a service; staff
management skills; financial management; strategic planning, customer
service along with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
are required.  The ability to communicate through Irish Sign Language would
be an advantage.

DEAF  COMMUNITY  CENTRE  LIMERICK  FUN  DAY
The Deaf Community Centre (DCC) in Limerick in conjunction with the “Hands
in Harmony” Deaf Community Choir have organised a Family Fun Day in order to
raise funds for the DCC.  The event will be held at the Hunt Museum on
Saturday 18th July from 11 am to 4 pm.

There will be three 45 minute performances by Limerick’s only Deaf Community
Choir “Hands in Harmony” at 12 pm, 1.30 pm and 3 pm.  Guided tours of the
Hunt Museum will be available at 11.30 am, 1 pm and 2.30 pm and a Sign
Language Interpreter will be provided.

They will also have a raffle, cake stalls, bouncy castle, ice-cream van,
homemade crafts, face painting, nail arts, clothing/toys and much more.
Irish Sign Language awareness information will be provided on the day too.
