RNID CALL FOR SUPPORT OF THE EQUALITY ACT 2010 (UK).
To our UK readers- the RNID would like your help to save the Equality Act.
This is a vital piece of legislation, which recently replaced the Disability
Discrimination Act. It protects people with disabilities from discrimination
in the workplace and when accessing services.

As part of its Red Tape Challenge, the UK government is consulting the
public on whether the Act should be scrapped. The Chief Executive of RNID
Jackie Ballard has written to the Home Secretary Theresa May, urging the
government to rethink their decision. This is an important piece of
legislation for our UK Deaf neighbours and they urgently need your help. To
save the Act, go Red tape challenge website and leave a comment in support
of this vital legislation
