Kerry Deaf Resource Centre Update 01.12.14
TESCO COMMUNITY FUND.
We would like to express a sincere thank you to Tesco in the Manor West Shopping Centre in Tralee. Our service has been nominated along with two other charities for the next six weeks for the Tesco Community Fund.
Each time you shop in Tesco in Manor West, you will receive a goodwill token which you can use to vote for the cause that means the most to you. At the end of the six weeks, Tesco will divide 1,000 euro amongst the three Charities according to the number of tokens each cause receives.
Our sincere thanks to Frances Woodley for nominating our service and to Tesco for including our service in their Community Fund. For more information on the Fund, go to www.tesco.ie/communityfund/

DSI RECRUITING MEMBERS FOR MEN/WOMEN SOCCER/FUTSAL TEAMS
Deaf Sports Ireland is looking for new soccer/futsal players for the Irish
Deaf men and women teams. The next Futsal European Championships will be in
four years’ time and preparation for this will start in January.
The current Irish Ladies futsal team who competed in Bulgaria in November is
made up of six players. Ideally, teams would have a total of 14 players in
the squad. Deaf Sports Ireland are determined to build a new squad for four
years’ time, so they are looking for Deaf/hard of hearing players who are
from 13-18 years old. If you know of any Deaf teen in a Deaf school or
mainstream school, let them know of this great training opportunity.
For more information, contact Joe Watson, Assistant administrator. Deaf
Sports Ireland by email [email protected]
