AIB STREET PERFORMANCE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS (DUBLIN)
The Street Performance World Championship is a free family festival which
brings the best circus entertainers in the world to Ireland. Due to the very
nature of street performance (juggling, mime artists, acrobats etc.) it
makes the event particularly accessible to the Deaf community. As part of
the event this year, there will be a sign language interpreted performance
area (with the Centre of Deaf Studies) which will open the entire festival
to the Deaf community. The festival is 100% free to the public. There is no
cover charge as it is supported by AIB and Dublin City Council. While the
Championship will take place from the 18th to 21st of June this year, in
Merrion Square, Dublin, the sign language interpreters will be there on the
20th and 21st.
