Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar said:
Everyone in Ireland (except for essential workers) MUST STAY AT HOME.
From midnight (27th of March) until Easter Sunday, 12 April.

Essential workers travelling to and from work (a list of who is an ‘essential worker’ is being prepared).
Shop for good; attend medical appointments
Care for children and elderly
Brief exercise within 2km.
No gathering outside household
