22nd June – ISL conference

The Irish Deaf Society and the Centre for Deaf Studies, Trinity College Dublin are co-hosting an ISL conference on 22nd of June 2019. The theme of the conference is:

Implementing the ISL Act and UNCRPD
Ensuring and sustaining the breakthrough

The conference was originally proposed by Andrew Geary and will be supported by the Department of Health and additional fundraising. It is an exciting opportunity to present and discuss opinions and thoughts related to the importance of the commencement of the ISL Act in 2020. We aim to attract a varied audience of stakeholders from the Deaf community including Deaf people, CODA, parents of Deaf Children, academics, teachers and service providers.
