Greetings All,

Time to plan for the month ahead as the schools now return after the long summer break.

5th Sept -
TDC is co-assisting ACS* at Sponsored Swim in Forty Foot, Sandycove, Co Dublin
Swimmers can take part (at own risk)
Forty Foot – Bulloch Harbour (half mile swim)
Refreshments / Prizes / Safety Boats
Register at 10.30 am / Swim starts at 11 am.
Entry for swimmers is € 15 / non-swimmers € 5

This is to announce that there’ll be a Seminar on Ireland’s 1st Deaf School (Claremont) by Rachel Pollard, author of ‘The Avenue’, at Dublin City Library, 138-144 Pearse Street, on SATURDAY, 28th August, at 1.45pm-2.45pm.

There is an event being organised by the Greater North Belfast Women’s Network. Any deaf women from the Belfast area / Newtownabbey area are very warmly welcome.

Where: Grove Wellbeing Centre, York Road, Belfast

When: Tuesday, 24th August 2010 10am – 12noon

Come along and bring a friend. You can find out what is on including:

– courses

– what groups you can join

– what craft or exercise classes are

– taster sessions

– money advice

– have a cup of tea

Bring your children too! There are some fun for the children too to keep them happy while you have a look!

BSL interpreters provided.

TDC Doolin Adventure Weekend

13-15th August 2010.

Just to advise we have a large group attending the Doolin Adventure Weekend – please find all the general need to know information about Doolin and the plan for the weekend that looks to be fantastic and we will definitely have a ball of a time.

I have been advised that many of the B&B’s are fully booked out in Doolin – the alternative will be limited to tents / hostels / camper-vans…
